Thanks everyone for all the birthday calls, messages, and texts yesterday - even Great-Grandpa Tony sent me a text to wish me a happy birthday!!!

I had a great time at the Dodger game last night even though it was VERY, VERY cold.

Happy 1st Birthday!

Happy 1st birthday to the most beautiful girl in the world! We really can't believe one whole year has passed. We definitely got off to a scary start, but it's been a wonderful ride! We look forward to sharing many, many more moments with our special girl.



Tonight we will be celebrating Ati's birthday at Dodger Stadium for USC Night with cousins Miguel and Alex!

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes and for continuing to visit this blog and stay updated on our baby girl. She is growing up so fast and we are happy that you can all be a part of it through this blog. We promise to keep posting pics and news.

Attitude in overalls!

These overalls were a gift from Great-Grandma Rosie back when Atiana was soooo tiny, we NEVER thought they'd EVER fit! Grandma Rosie would ask and ask if they fit yet and mommy would say "Nope, not yet!" It seemed like it would be forever before Ati was wearing 12 month sized clothes. But here we are, the week of her big birthday and guess what? THEY FIT!

It's amazing to see how good they fit yesterday when mommy put them on for the first time. We think Ati looks soooo grown up in this picture!

Here she is sitting on her glider in her bedroom getting ready to put on her jammies and read her nighttime book!

Thanks to everyone for joining us in the first annual Team Atiana March for Babies walk! The weather was great and it felt good to be a part of such a great cause. It was nearly a year ago that we were all affected by the birth of a premature baby and it was even more humbling to see the large groups of families marching for their own babies, some of them who sadly could not be there with them to walk :(

Bobby and I just want to express our gratitude to everyone for their love and support we are SO BLESSED to have such a healthy and happy 1 yr. old.

Bring your kid (baby) to work day

Time Warner held festivities for "Bring Your Kid to Work Day" including having Dora the Explorer come for a visit, so naturally Atiana had to come work with her mom! It was good to come by the office since Ati was only 4 months old the last time she visited her mommy's co-workers.

And though Atiana was NOT scared of Dora, she also didn't want Mommy to lift her hand to wave hello to her.

Atiana hung out in her stroller and helped her mom send some emails and take some calls, then we joined the rest of the kids for some fun games. She had a great time watching all the other kids run around.

March for Babies...this Saturday!!!

In honor of Atiana's first birthday, our family is walking THIS SATURDAY at Exposition Park at 8:30am!!!

Atiana was born 8 weeks too soon! Hopefully you all recall the struggles (which were really nothing in comparison to some of the other babies in there!!!) we had with her throughout the six weeks she was in the NICU at Cedars Sinai, but we are SOOOO blessed and fortunate to have a very healthy baby now!

Birthday Photo Shoot

This past Sunday we went to JC Penney to get my birthday pictures taken. I wore a special tutu outfit that my Nina Jill bought me to wear to my birthday party. It's so cute, isn't it?!? Some people even say I look like Punky Brewster - whoever that is!

The cute brown dress was a gift from my cousin Michele. I decided to go for a more serious look in those pictures.

They weren't able to get a ton of pictures of me as I wasn't really in the mood to take pictures that day, but the few that they were able to get came out pretty good. Here are some pictures from the day!

It's my party...

Hopefully everyone has received their invite to my birthday party on May 1st. Please be sure to let my mommy know if you are able to join us!

In case you are wondering about clothes, I am fitting into 12 months right now, so my mommy said I need clothes in 18 or 24 months and my shoe size is 4 or 4 1/2.

My mommy and daddy will also be getting the Mayweather-Mosley fight later that night and you are all welcome to stay and watch.

What a difference a week makes...

Here are two videos of Atiana "walking" with her giraffe cart.

In the first one you can see how shaky and out of control she is but we've been practicing and you can really tell how much better she is getting in the second video.






We think she is pretty close to walking, but no way of telling if she will actually do it before her first birthday in a couple of weeks!

Atiana has been [thisclose] to waving bye-bye. She always does it, just never at the right time!

One of Atiana's favorite things to do at the new house is to look outside to see who is at the door - most of the time it's just our cat, SC, but every now and then a friendly visitor comes to the door and Atiana screams to let us know!

"Hoppy" Easter!

We hope everyone had a great Easter Sunday!

We had a busy day - starting at Auntie Elaine and Uncle George's with mommy's side of the family and then to Nana Pat and Grandpa's in the afternoon. It was a little colder than we had wished, but Atiana was still able to wear her cute Easter dress.


Ati also enjoyed her very first egg hunt. Maybe next year she will be interested in what's inside the eggs!!!

I love pan dulce!

Daddy brought home some pan dulce last night and we found out that Atiana really is a Mexican because she LOOOOOVED it!!!

Now that she can really get around, there isnt a new box that can come into our new house that can NOT be inspected by Miss Atiana. Here she is taking a look at the boxes we brought home from Costco.
