On the swing for the first time

It was a cold day yesterday but Xavier got on the swing for a few minutes and seemed to like it. Hopefully it warms up a little so we can make our way back to the park soon!

Santa visits Time Warner

With our schedules and lives being so busy these past few months, standing in line at the mall so the kids could take a picture with Santa just didn't seem possible for us. I have been feeling so guilty though because it's Xavier's first Christmas and his big sister has a picture with Santa from her first Christmas. So when Santa came to mom's work to visit, I brought Xavier in with me so I could get his picture taken.

He was so excited to meet Santa and even more excited to get a ton of attention from mom's co-workers. We got some really cute pics.

Atiana's Christmas Show

Last Monday was Ati's Christmas show at school. She has been practicing her songs since the first week of Thanksgiving. She and her classmates were so cute!!!  It was a quick show, but they sang 6 songs they had been learning as a class since after Halloween. Atiana played an Angel in the show.

We are waiting on videos from a friend who let us borrow her camera that night, but here are some pics from the nights.

Eat Mor Chikin

We went to Chick-fil-a after Rueben's tournament (he did awesome, as usual) and our table was visited by the Chick-fil-a Cow, dressed in a Santa costume. Atiana did NOT want to take a picture with him, but Xavier was up for it! We rolled him over in his high chair and he took a pic!

Disneyland 2012

We tried to beat the crowds to Disneyland on Thursday since the holiday break was just around the corner, but no such luck. It was a pretty quiet morning but by the afternoon it felt like everyone was there!

We tried to make the best of it and just wanted to make sure Xavier got on a few rides since this was his first visit. He loved staring at everything and taking in all the lights and sights of the happiest place on earth! He was able to get on the Little Mermaid ride and of course, It's a Small World. He also really enjoyed the holiday parade, some Dole Whip, and had a taste of a corn dog.

He got his Mickey ears, but he wouldn't keep it on and we weren't able to get it embroidered with his name. Oh well, maybe next time.

Happy 9 months Xavier

Here we are, a little over 1 week left in 2012 and Xavier has hit the 9 month mark.
Here are his 9 month stats:

• 19 lbs. 6 oz.
• 28 inches tall
• Waves "hi" and "bye"
• Stands well and is starting to push walker while holding on
• Loves Christmas shopping, Santa Claus, and visiting mom's work

Getting ready for Christmas at Gaga's

Gaga has been working hard to get her house decorated for Christmas and it looks great! Last week Dad had to work so we spent the morning over there checking it out. The kids loved all the little things Gaga has up in her house and I was able to take some festive pics of them to get us in the holiday mood.

Of course, it was also Sunday and the Broncos played an early game, so we made sure we were in our gear ready to cheer them on!

Marlie, our Elf on the Shelf

This is the newest member of our family - Marlie the elf. She moved in the day after Thanksgiving.

She's been watching the kids and reporting to Santa each night on who's been good (or bad!) in our house every day. Every morning Ati wakes up to find her new hiding spot in our house.

So far, Marlie has skipped her daily visit to Santa only once because Atiana was a "bad bad." But she's back to her nightly trips to the North Pole and Ati and Xavier are closer to getting everything on their lists.

Just a few days left until Christmas...we can't wait to see everyone!

Santa Train 2012

The Paramount Santa Train rolled through our neighborhood a couple weeks back so these pictures are late but here are the kids having fun with Santa.

Ati had a blast waiting on line for the train to come by while Xavier enjoyed dancing to the Christmas tunes in his stroller - he's going to be a dancer like his sister! No surprise there we guess.

If only I could turn this water to juice!

Xavier likes drinking out of his little sippy cup and today he had a teensy bit of juice but once it was gone, it was back to water.

We're sure he's wondering if there's more where that came from...and sadly, no.

Yo Gabba Gabba Live

On Friday we went to Yo Gabba Gabba with our friends, the Huacujas - Jesus, Nadine, Sophie, Matthew and Sydney.

We have been waiting for months to go to this show, literally! We bought the tickets back in July and it felt like it was light years away. But sure enough, time flew by and before we knew it, it was Thanksgiving!

Ati had such an amazing time dancing with her friends, it was worth the wait!!!
