Dad's night at pre-school

And....he's climbing!

He's so incredibly close to walking but one thing he CAN cross off the list at the top of his 11th month is...climbing the slide at day care.

He's 11 months old!

I will have to get his stats this weekend since he hasn't has a doctor's appointment recently, but Xavier turned 11 months old today! 

He is standing on his own, taking steps with very little help (a pinky finger), clapping when something makes him happy ("If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands!"), DANCING UP A STORM, and trying to repeat words we say to him.

He is an incredibly happy guy and we love him to pieces!!!

These two are hilarious. They found these glasses and had some fun putting them on. Xavier thought it was so funny to see Ati wearing them.

What a mess!

Now that Xavier is eating more solid foods - pasta, mac 'n cheese, fruit - he is really making a mess!
He manages to get food everywhere!!! The best part is, after he gets food all over himself and his high chair, he makes sure to put his dirty little hands, right on his head and wipes them all over his hair! Needless to say he has had to be given a bath almost every day instead of every other day this week!

First haircuts

On Saturday we took both kids to see my friend Renee to get their hair cut, both for the first time! Ati has never even had her hair trimmed because it is so curly, it has never really been an issue. But now that it is growing longer, it's getting tangled more, so we thought it would be a good idea to get it cut, just a little.

Xavier's hair is really getting long, so he definitely needed a trim on the sides and back of his head.

And though you really can't tell in these pictures, this is what Xavier looked like AFTER his hair cut - nice and clean cut (and still wearing his Christmas jammies!)! And you realllly can't tell that Ati's hair was trimmed one whole inch :)

We have another dancing machine in our house!

Xavier has really been dancing this past week! Here he is getting his groove on to the Thomas the Train theme song...he's so cute!!!

Ati got roller skates from Santa but it's been so cold we haven't made it out to use them for more than a few minutes. So because it's been cold outside, she has been committed to trying them on inside!
