Writing out Valentine's Day cards

Ati has been practicing writing her name and what better way to get even more practice? Write out Valentine's cards! Here she is writing out 16 cards for her classmates. They are scratch 'n sniff cards.

Tomorrow night we will assemble our goodie bags for her classmates.

We're officially best friends!

Atiana and her best friend Stella at Farrell's where they officially became best friends!

We met up with Stella and her family to get to know each other and allow the girls to hang out a little outside of school, especially since they are in different classes.

Coincidentally, Stella's last name is Aguilar! Mom's maiden name. So our families - the Avilas and Aguilars - had a great time.

Sunday Funday at Furman Park

The kids accompanied me to the park while I took some pictures of a friend. They can never escape me taking pictures of them though, and I was able to capture them on the slide and enjoying the playground.

We are all getting a fresh start today - let's make 2014 a great one!

The kids were not really cooperating for pictures and Xavier spent the majority of picture time being afraid of the noisemakers and refusing to wear his hat.

The Lion King

We took Ati to see The Lion King at the Pantages Theatre this past weekend along with Nana Pat & Auntie Deanna and we had an amazing time!

We saw the matinee show and had a nice lunch across the street at Delphine before it started and everything was excellent.

I don't know what was more entertaining - the show itself or seeing Ati's excitement and reaction to everything. It truly was one of the best shows we've seen - the music, the set, the costumes, everything! We feel incredibly blessed to have shared this special moment with our girl!
